TREASURE HUNT  season-1

With all the working stress every professional undergoes, some kind of fun activities prove a great stress buster. Hence, Borivali Professional  Forum conducted its first Treasure Hunt event on 10th March, 2015 at Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Borivali.

Nearly 50 people from all around Mumbai actively participated in the hunt. They were then shuffled and evenly distributed into 10 teams. Every team had 5 participants each, with both genders, mixed age group and 1 licensed Car Driver.

The Game was managed by Mrs. Mital Salia and her team. Each team was given clues for a total of 11 locations across the entire motor able path of National Park, and along with that, they were also given 10 tasks to be done. All locations were digitally captured with every team member in the picture. All of the teams participated with complete enthusiasm.

The Day began with Morning tea and snacks which was followed by the treasure hunt Game and finally a delicious lunch in the garden area of the park. The event concluded with introduction of every participant and finally prize distribution to the top 3 team winners.

TREASURE HUNT season 2

After Achieving great success in the 1st season of treasure hunt, We decided to go big for the next one.  THE GRAND TREASURE HUNT WAS BACK WITH A BANG. This time it was a hunt with clues covering the entire Borivali region.
 

This time we arranged the Game for the kutchhi youths of Borivali. Nearly 70 young girls and guys took part in the Game. We divided all of them into 14 teams (each with 5 participants).
 

With Time changing, we choose to walk on ideology of our government... We went DIGITAL.
 

Every core team member was given 3 to 4 teams to handle. Co-ordination with Teams, Clues, Hints, Answers all were managed by core team digitally via WhatsApp.
 

Participant’s dedication, Spirit to win the game, enthusiasm, Bonding across age groups was remarkable.

The game was followed by Lunch at kutchhi ground. Then was the most awaited session- Prize distribution… Team no. 10 was the winner who completed the game in __minutes. Trophies were given to every member of the winning team. A prize money of Rs.1000 was given to every member of the winning team. The first and the second runner-up team were given Rs.750 and Rs.500 each respectively.

REPORT ON CAREER CLINIC

Our Signature event, being held for the first time in the year 2015 and has been successfully conducted for all 4 years till date. ‘Career Clinic’ gives a platform for the young generation who aspires to take their first step towards the ladder of their career to achieve their goals and passion. Through ‘Career Clinic’ students can bounce their thoughts to our experts in the field to get first-hand correct information which helps them to choose their field in a right manner. It is a One-On-One discussion with the professional.

What will be diagnosed at Career Clinic?

Which colleges offer a particular course, entrance exams, Admission Criteria, Entry level qualifications, future growth prospects, remuneration, current scenarios, etc.

The fields covered under various categories are as follows:

Arts: General Counselling, Interior Designing, Graphic Designing, Event Management, Psychology, Media.

Commerce: General Counselling, IIM, MBA, MMS, CFA, CA, Banking, Law, CS, Finance, ICWA, CMA, Financial Planning, Investment Banking, Wealth Management.

Science: IIT, MBBS, Engineering, Actuarial Science, Architecture, Aviation, Dentistry, IT, Dietician, Physiotherapy.

General: Abroad Studies, Hotel Management, Lecturership, PhD, Digital Marketing, Fashion Designing, Public Relation, IATA (Travel & Tourism), IAS Officer, Cyber Crime, Ethical Hacking, ISO Auditor.

Add On: DMIT Test (Fingerprint Scanning)

Participation: We have 40 young professionals on board every year to personally guide students. The numbers of students who participate are around 300-350 every year.

REPORT ON LEAP UP - FROM COLLEGE TO CORPORATE

As in the 21st century, it is important for students to know how to groom oneself, art to write a resume, how to ace for an interview, etc. As a lot of gap is observed in these areas, KVO’s Borivali Professional Forum took an initiative to arrange a session wherein the young audience get a proper knowledge to prepare themselves for various types of interviews. Thereafter increasing their chance to easily enter the corporate world.

The topics focused for this event were as follows:

       1. Managing your Digital Footprint and presence

Digital Footprint refers to traces we leave after any activity online. With everybody becoming tech savvy, Google gives an insight to anyone and everyone about our digital presence. It is necessary to manage one’s digital image.

      2.  The art of resume writing

Resume is the first point of contact between the candidate and the employer. The session focussed on discussing types of Resumes/ CVs, their difference and do’s and don’ts.

     3.   Grooming and etiquette

The session covered on the basics on clothing, body language, appearance.

     4.  Acing an interview

The session equipped the students with the tactics to perform well at interviews. Mock sessions were done.

Venue: Gyan Vihar Library, 3rd floor, Prabodhankar Thakre Auditorium Complex, Near Chamunda Circle. Borivali West.

Speaker: Ms. Tanaya Acharekar, a Soft skill trainer, Professional Resume Writer, Consultant, Academician with 8 years of experience conducting various onsite and offsite training in corporates and topmost educational institutes.

Conclusion: The session was very informative, interactive with Q&A rounds, mock interview practice. There was a wonderful positive feedback from our audience.
